Company History

Since 1974, Tri-Star Mechanical Contractors, Inc. has been serving institutional, commercial and industrial clients throughout Mississippi, Tennessee, and Arkansas. The company was founded by Gene Welch and was originally located in Southaven, MS. In 1978, Gene decided to move the company to its present location in Batesville, MS. He felt this location was better suited for servicing the customer base. Tri-Star was originally started on the philosophy that “Customer satisfaction is guaranteed”.


In 1999, Tri-Star Companies, Inc. was formed. Tri-Star Companies, Inc. has operated as a sister company to Tri-Star Mechanical Contractors, Inc. since its inception. It continues to operate with the same leadership, and principles that were founded in Tri-Star Mechanical Contractors, Inc.


Tri-Star Companies, Inc. continues to operate as a family-owned company. This allows us to give each customer our personal attention.
